thursday

Got called in to work at Armstrong this morning. Kinda tired. I woke up to find Bruce's belly in my face and Dodger's wet nose in my armpit. Lots of love! Last night at the hospital (as I was cleaning his catheter-stuffed peepie) I talked to a patient about my love (obsession) with dogs. He had more to say about his golden retreiver than I, so I'm not alone in this.

Last crazy day

UHH. So tired today. Yesterday was my last long 16 hour day this week. Our census was down to 2 patients so I had to leave early. Two more 12 hour shifts this weekend then I'm gonna rest and clean my house. There are so many dust bunnies in my house they are multiplying. My pups aren't happy with me at all. We have (had) the most comfortable limish green recliner in the living room. On my 2nd-16 hour day my pups showed their disaproval by spreading the chair's fluff and guts all over the house. GRRR. I guess they missed me so much both of them wouldn't stop cuddling all night. I should have taken a picture of the mess but I have plenty of those pictures-back when it was kinda cute. Ok- it was NEVER really cute except when they sit in the mess with those adorable sad eyes. Now they hide in the kennels.

I want a scooter. If only it never rained or got cold. I would totally ride in style with my hot pink helmet, pink leather jacket and hibiscus printed 150cc scooter. My scooter name would be Tootsie Pop. I'd have a gang called the Golden Gangsters. NowI just have to make more friends that have blonde hair.
Last night a work we were talking about our hospital closing. I didn't think it was possible for a healthcare facility to close it's doors. But I guess in this day anything can happen- including spreading bad rumors.

Found this picture on my e-mail. It's a horrid picture of me but my two babies are in the picture. We just got Bruce that day. He was 6 months old. Now he's grown 2x's that size.

new happenings and updates

I have to get this blogging thing started. I keep meaning to add pictures but without internet at home, it's hard. In two weeks, we'll finally order Comcast. As soon as I get things rolling, I'll add tons of pictures. I personally think pictures are better than words. That's what people look at anyway. I also have to figure out how to make this look as groovy as everyone else's.
Updates:
Bobby made it through his second semester of flight school. I think he got 2 A's and 2 B's. I'm excited to have him home for the summer. We are getting a temporary room mate to help with the cost of Bobby traveling to Allentown everyday. At $4 bucks a gallon-it adds up. This roommate is a flight instructor at Gateway and is just moving in until he gets his 'big boy' job with an airline company. He doesn't want to sign a lease on an apartment if his new job is out of town.
I'm switching jobs (yet again). I feel like such a job hopper but I try to think of it as not afraid to admitt when a job isn't working or paying enough. I want to find a job that I can work for years and years just like that job I had for 7 years. Right now I have three jobs working at Armstrong Fitness Center as a PRN (as needed) Fitness Coordinator/ Yoga Instructor, LA fitness as an instructor and Lancaster Regional Medical Center as a Unit Clerk. I love all jobs but working 60-80 hours a week is killing me. It's time to work 1 or 2 jobs only with better pay. Plus my neck is killing me from all the classes and I think I have bursitis in my hip and shoulders. A good thing can be taken too far. I accepted a new job in the retail management field. (ouch)! I'll be working as a manager at Hollister Co. (A &F). It's salary, offers an enrty-level training program and requires a 4 year degree. So my 7 year (4 year) degree in Health Science won't go totally to waste. I still want to do Physical Therapy but I may have to wait for Bobby's career to begin.

Other than that the dogs are getting big. Dodger weighs 75pds and Bruce is probably a bit bigger. They are getting their little boys removed in a few weeks.
